 REVIEW PART 2| L'Oréal Paris

The year has been grueling so far and I got a bit delayed in sharing Part-2 of this review describing my first experience with the Skin Perfect Range by L'Oréal Paris. For all those who missed out reading Part 1 of my review, you can check out the post here. Talking about my skincare routine, I’ve been very regimental with keeping my skin clean and never go to bed without taking off my makeup. Be it only a trace of kohl or a soft pink shade on lips, I just do not allow it to sit on my skin at night. I do make a point to use an eye and lip makeup remover everyday and cleanse my skin with damp cotton and a creamy cleanser. Post that I wash my face off with a homemade scrub or a facewash. Though I love my dusky skin tone and have never tried any whitening or anti-aging creams, running errands all day in the scorching sun, stress and pollution did affect the healthy glow in my skin making it look dull. It is a fact in today’s time that even a 20 something needs a customized skin care range to counter these aging signs.

When L'Oréal Paris India sent me their Skin Perfect range, I was a little skeptical about trying this since I'm not very fond of anti-aging whitening creams and prefer using serums and sunscreen. However, I tried the Anti-Imperfections+ Whitening Cream (for Age 20+) after washing my face with the Whitening Facial Foam (for Age 20+). The facewash did a pretty good job in lifting away the impurities from my skin making it look fresh and clean. The cream just seeped into my skin like a dream as soon as I applied it, leaving it soft and oil-free unlike other products that make your skin look oily the moment you step out in the sun. The facewash and the cream smell like flowers on your skin and the sun protection it offers is another reason why I liked it as one doesn’t need to apply sunscreen additionally. This was my first experience with a product like this and I’m quite happy with it and definitely going to continue using it.  If you have tried the product, do let me know how you felt after using it. When it comes to experimenting with fashion, I’m a true Gemini who doesn’t shy away from trying new things. For me, everyday has it's own mood and I've never been a fan of monotony. I dress up like a girly girl one day and get out wearing a men's shirt and old ripped denims the next day. I mean..there are a whole lot of things in fashion to insanely fall in love with and my fondness for it only grows everyday. However,this post specifically features my liking for bandanas and head scarves. I’ve been wearing them to work, college, shopping and vacations and simply love how they bring in a bohemian vibe to an otherwise plain look. One can wear them with Tees, maxi dresses, shirt dresses, bikinis and almost everything.  So while I go shopping for some new ones in interesting prints and pretty colors for this season (which I hope to share in my future fashion stories), enjoy these looks and let me know if you tried any.

Skin Perfect Anti-Fine Lines + Whitening Cream for Age 30+ & Skin Perfect  Anti-Aging+ Whitening Facial Foam for Age 30+ :  Women aged 30 and above need that extra care since the possibilities of aging and developing visible pores  are high due to fatigue and stress. I think I haven't worn enough pink in quite a few months now. This post takes me back to the time when I were a little kid and would prance around in the gardens showing off my cute frilly skirts and frocks. Time flies! However, one thing that never changed is the joy of playing dress up and stealing my mum's lipsticks.(I still do that :D) Talking about makeup, Maybelline New York has been my go-to brand for years now. I love how this brand comes up with new and beautiful shades everytime. And receiving this blingy InstaGlam Valentine's kit from the sweet people at Maybelline made me feel as excited as a baby would feel seeing a new barbie doll. It’s one of those days when you can't figure what to pen down because your mind is completely blank. I realized it’s been quite a few days that I posted a new look. No excuses, but with a crazy schedule like mine, I hardly got time lately to do things I love the most. However, I’m glad I was able to put this look together for all of you. The star of this shoot is this Black Trilby Hat I bought from New Look and I was all excited to wear it in this shoot. This white top from Max is going to be in my wardrobe forever for its comfort and color. I wore my favorite red lipcolor and threw on an assortment of rosaries in my neck to complete the look. My obsession for rosaries is growing day by day, I'm loving to wear them with almost every outfit everyday. You'll see more of them in the coming posts.

When I think of models, the name that comes to my mind after Kate Moss is Lakshmi Menon (I adore these ladies). She has been an inspiration for many people in the fashion industry including various designers, models and photographers. Her dusky complexion, beautiful eyes, personality and the confidence in her eyes makes her the diva that every model looks up to. She has walked for many designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Hermès and appeared in various campaigns and magazine covers like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Allure. Her beauty and effortless style made me a die-hard fan of her ever since I started following her work and interviews in my college days. Despite being a supermodel, she has always maintained a low profile. She loves to live by the sea and likes to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Her style is easy yet edgy and she likes to add a twist of Indianness to it.  I wish to work with this gorgeousness someday, I admire her so damn much.

Designing something in white and creating a fashion story that I had envisioned during my college was a dream come true for me. I remember how challenging it was to run finding the right fabric, the details on the garment and understand the technicalities in creating something like this.  I mean hats off to the designers who make their collections ready in limited amount of time especially before the fashion weeks! Coming to the creation of this outfit, I decided to give the lehenga a 9 mt sweep which is quite heavy to carry but makes you feel like a princess when you twirl wearing it. To add to the beauty of the white hue, I paired the lehenga with a blouse in silver brocade and added tiny beads on the borders. I completed the look with a heavy crystal maang teeka and a white oversized finger ring.  Talking about this shoot, deciding on the location was not difficult as I was very sure of how I wanted this story to be like. The beauty of this place just added a divine aura to the look. This being my first project, it will always hold a special place in my heart for I took care of each and every detail in the designing of this lehenga with so much love and care. Hope you loved this story as much as I did.
