I think I haven't worn enough pink in quite a few months now. This post takes me back to the time when I were a little kid and would prance around in the gardens showing off my cute frilly skirts and frocks. Time flies! However, one thing that never changed is the joy of playing dress up and stealing my mum's lipsticks.(I still do that :D) Talking about makeup, Maybelline New York has been my go-to brand for years now. I love how this brand comes up with new and beautiful shades everytime. And receiving this blingy InstaGlam Valentine's kit from the sweet people at Maybelline made me feel as excited as a baby would feel seeing a new barbie doll. The pouch contains lovely shades of pink and coral, the MAT2 Bold Matte by Colorsensational  and Coral Craze Nail Color being my favorite picks from the kit. These are now slowly becoming a part of my everyday makeup routine. I think these are the perfect shades for the upcoming summers, adding the right pop of color to your mouth and nails. And the pouch! It's a cute addition to my summer closet!

It’s one of those days when you can't figure what to pen down because your mind is completely blank. I realized it’s been quite a few days that I posted a new look. No excuses, but with a crazy schedule like mine, I hardly got time lately to do things I love the most. However, I’m glad I was able to put this look together for all of you. The star of this shoot is this Black Trilby Hat I bought from New Look and I was all excited to wear it in this shoot. This white top from Max is going to be in my wardrobe forever for its comfort and color. I wore my favorite red lipcolor and threw on an assortment of rosaries in my neck to complete the look. My obsession for rosaries is growing day by day, I'm loving to wear them with almost every outfit everyday. You'll see more of them in the coming posts.

When I think of models, the name that comes to my mind after Kate Moss is Lakshmi Menon (I adore these ladies). She has been an inspiration for many people in the fashion industry including various designers, models and photographers. Her dusky complexion, beautiful eyes, personality and the confidence in her eyes makes her the diva that every model looks up to. She has walked for many designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Hermès and appeared in various campaigns and magazine covers like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Allure. Her beauty and effortless style made me a die-hard fan of her ever since I started following her work and interviews in my college days. Despite being a supermodel, she has always maintained a low profile. She loves to live by the sea and likes to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Her style is easy yet edgy and she likes to add a twist of Indianness to it.  I wish to work with this gorgeousness someday, I admire her so damn much.

Designing something in white and creating a fashion story that I had envisioned during my college was a dream come true for me. I remember how challenging it was to run finding the right fabric, the details on the garment and understand the technicalities in creating something like this.  I mean hats off to the designers who make their collections ready in limited amount of time especially before the fashion weeks! Coming to the creation of this outfit, I decided to give the lehenga a 9 mt sweep which is quite heavy to carry but makes you feel like a princess when you twirl wearing it. To add to the beauty of the white hue, I paired the lehenga with a blouse in silver brocade and added tiny beads on the borders. I completed the look with a heavy crystal maang teeka and a white oversized finger ring.  Talking about this shoot, deciding on the location was not difficult as I was very sure of how I wanted this story to be like. The beauty of this place just added a divine aura to the look. This being my first project, it will always hold a special place in my heart for I took care of each and every detail in the designing of this lehenga with so much love and care. Hope you loved this story as much as I did.

As I flip through fashion magazines and look at winter fashion editorials, I come across some beautiful pictures that are making me grow fond of socks in different colors and sizes. It's interesting to see how well they can be styled with boots, high heeled shoes, moccasins, sneakers, stilettos or just about any type of shoes. I've already shopped a few pairs and still wanting to buy more. Hope I'll be able to feature them in my future posts. For now, I leave you with some of my favorite images. XX

      HAIR-BBLUNT SPOTLIGHT HAIR POLISH SHINE SPRAY

Whoa!The first collaboration of the year with the brand I’ve always banked on for my everyday wear -Max Fashion India! When asked to review their collection, it took no time for me to pick these three tops as I fell in love with them at the first sight. The floral sweatshirt is so me! The blue dress I wore as a top is my favorite out of all for the bling it has. The tribal print is not something I’m a fan of; however, I wanted to try something new this time and to my surprise, it looked pretty and went well with the black skorts. The idea behind this shoot was to try all the three looks with the same pair of skorts and see how versatile they are. This time, I tried a new hair product- the BBlunt Spotlight Hair Polish Shine Spray that did a reasonable job on my hair in terms of providing hold and adding shine to my wavy hair. Worth a try! Feels great to start the New Year with new things. 2015! What do you have in store for me?
